Community contributions range from support for capital fund drives to sponsorship of nonprofit fundraising events to non-cash donations like awarding retired company vehicles to emergency-response organizations.

Nonprofit organizations can use this online application to review eligibility guidelines and apply to request a community contribution.

Employees established IDACORP’s Employee Community Funds more than 50 years ago. This employee-governed organization gives funding to qualified local 501(c)(3) agencies that provide health services and human services support.

To apply for funding, complete one of the following online forms:

Once an agency is approved for funding, that agency may reapply every two years to be considered for continued funding.

Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Provides fourteen, $2,000 annual student fee/tuition grants for graduating high school students who live within Idaho Power’s service area and are planning to enroll full-time in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, or communications program at an accredited Idaho or Oregon two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must have a minimum 3.75 unweighted grade point average. The submission deadline is March 1, 2024 and application requirements and access to the form can be found on the website beginning Jan. 1, 2024.

Idaho Power’s Douglas E. Sprenger, Kevin M. Whittier and Larry R. Wimer Memorial Scholarship Fund
Who can apply? Graduating high school seniors who live in Idaho Power’s service area and are planning to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college or university; OR college students enrolled in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college or university. This $1,000 one-time scholarship is not renewable. The submission deadline is March 1, 2024 and application requirements and access to the form can be found on the website beginning Jan. 1, 2024.

Idaho Power Technical Scholarship
Two $2,000 scholarships for students planning to enroll in an accredited Idaho technical school program. Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA or a GED certificate. The submission deadline is March 1, 2024 and application requirements and access to the form can be found on the website beginning Jan. 1, 2024.
